I can dream, can't I?

I've seen some of these handbags in fashion magazines and worn by celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Nicole Richie and I was like WOW... beautiful!
Simone Camille is based out of California and her bags are very Moroccan inspired. Her bags are a little pricey though and that's because they are getting so popular among Hollywood.
I seriously want one of them! They are one of a kind.
I'm going to try to make something like this in the next month. I will post pictures if it turns out successful. Haha.

Nothing like a nice glass of...

I often go out and when I do, I like to try new things. This includes new dishes and new kinds of wines. So, I decided I would share ones I come across and post them for you to go out and try.
I'm a big red wine drinker. Rarely, do I ever drink white. And also, not much for any other liquors either. Just a nice glass of red wine with a meal or if I'm at home chillin' out listening to music. That sounds awfully relaxing right about now.
I think this calls for some "me time". ;)
Keep it cool.

My Jewelry Creations

I wanted to post pictures of some of the jewelry I've made and sold in the last 6 months. Every piece is unique and very hard to part with as I could easily hold on to every one of them and wear with a different outfit. :)

So this is for anyone who's trying to stay away from a lot of heavy carbs like white flour pasta.
So Instead of noodles I peel ribbons of zucchini with a carrot peeler. So they become like pasta.

Zucchini Alfredo

or 4 medium zucchini
¼ t sea salt (or kosher salt)
T heavy whipping cream
T butter
T grated parmesan cheese
t fresh lemon juice
lack pepper
1 clove of garlic

Bring a pan full of water to a boil and blanch zucchini for one minute and then shock in an ice bath. Drain zucchini and pat dry - set aside.
Place a large saute pan over low heat. Melt butter and then add cream, garlic and parmesan cheese. Let sauce thicken slightly (stir occasionally) and then add zucchini and toss to coat. Stir in lemon juice and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Bon Appetite!

FRENCH CULTURE

It seems I've always been fascinated by the french. The fashion, art, film, cuisine, the people/culture and the language. I'm intrigued by the way the french move and live their lives; savoring every moment and really taking the time to enjoy life in all of its bustling.
I traveled to France a year and a half ago and loved it. Mostly just touring along the south coast from The Pyrenees/Montpellier to Provence and the Cote D'Azur. Unfortunately however, I did not make it to Paris although I wanted to, mainly to visit its fashion district and check out some of the cities amazing architectural monuments. Next time for sure.
I got to Nice and Monaco. Absolutely breath taking. The Mediterranean was spectacular. The oceans were crystal clear. Just beautiful.

My goal for 2011 is to learn the french language. I've always wanted to learn another language besides english but never got around to it. Wish me luck.
So, just wanted to share a little piece of my adoration for all things french. Hope you enjoy the pics, I will definitely post more soon!

Versatility and Elegance in a Versace Logo Plaque Pump

I saw these Versace pumps on a recent trip to Vancouver and I fell in love instantly. I've never splurged so much on a pair of heels ever in my life but this time was different. A once in a lifetime thing. I put on those leather shoes and I knew they had to be mine. My feet just melted, my soul melted. I was madly in love.
No regrets. None.

ANYTHING AMY BUTLER

Rarely I find a designer so innovative, whimsical and creative all at the same time. This woman inspires me so much. I become instantly drawn to my sewing machine after anytime I go online at Amy Butler's website. http://www.amybutlerdesign.com

Her fabrics, stationary and home fashions have caught my attention for years. She continues to amaze me with all the new stuff she comes out with. Amy now sells wall paper, wall art, comforters/bedding and now even high quality rugs.
I've purchased a few of her handbag patterns and they are very easy to follow. I would suggest her products to anyone just learning how to sew. And trust me, once you begin working with her fabrics, you will easily become addicted. But is there anything seriously wrong with that? lol. Not at all!

Favorite Things

FLEET FOXES

At the moment I've been listening to a Seattle based band called Fleet Foxes. This band has definitely become one of my favorites. All I do is listen to their songs over and over like a mental person. lol.
One day, I was teaching a student of mine (I instruct singing lessons) and she suggested she wanted to learn one of their songs. I was very intrigued when she played a bit of their music for me from Youtube. The song was "Mountain Tiger Peasant Song". Very beautiful.
I love the guys voice and the harmonies are amazing. Robin Pecknold can definitely sing for me anytime. ;)
He's a beautiful man and he makes gorgeous music. Would love to see them live some day!
